What to do when you’re late for pick-up
It is vital that should you be late for a ‘usual school pick-up’ or a club, please ensure that you have left a message with the office. There may always be the unexpected situation which none of us can foresee which leads to the late collection of children. However, please ensure that late collection of children does not become the norm. We endeavour to have – in addition to club supervisors – at least one member of the Office staff team available for a short-time after school as well. However, there can always be a situation where this may not be possible with other commitments and staff may well be late for an appointment or totally inconvenienced unnecessarily.
Please stress to your child, that if you or the known adult is not waiting in the playground, THEY MUST RETURN TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE. This ensures the children are in a safe place and avoids the Office staff having to look for children when messages are received – or they can contact parents. No-one should EVER be waiting outside of the school premises.

BreaksBoth Infants and Juniors have a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon. They always go outside for playtimes (weather permitting) and they get a longer lunch break at lunchtime. Here are some additional notes about the start and the end of the school day. We hope they are useful!
- The earliest arrival time for both Infants and Juniors is 8.35am. We do ask adults to stay with Infants until the bell is rung for them to go in as there is no supervision in the Infant Playground before this time.
- The bell at the start of the day is rung at 8.50am so that children can enter school and be ready to begin the day promptly at 8.55am.
- At the end of the day the gates are closed at 3.35pm. If children are unable to find their parent or adult collecting them in the playground, they are asked to wait inside the front porch by the School Office until they arrive.
