Extra-curricular activities play a large part in the life of pupils. Through the wide range of activities offered, children are able to develop their skills and interests.
A number of music clubs are held at lunchtimes including beginner, intermediate & advanced recorder ensemble and instrumental ensemble (Y5 & 6). The children in these clubs normally work towards taking part in and competing in local festivals. Creative art clubs are offered to children in Juniors after school.
All KS2 pupils have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sports clubs. These include: football, netball, tennis & cricket – all run after school. School sports teams regularly compete and take part in local competitions and tournaments.
We are also very fortunate to be able to offer Chess Club to KS2 children.
In addition, children are offered the opportunity to learn a range of musical instruments, including flute, clarinet, guitar and trumpet.
“The tradition and standard of cricket at Bathwick St Mary’s is wonderful. We are lucky to have an award-winning sports coach doing cricket club at the school”A parent
